Problem with email address as part of the transfer process

I think I messed up big time with an account. I managed to get the message that I successfully migrated my characters, but couldn't log-in to the game. I finally realized that the email address that I originally used for that one account; I ended up using it for another account. Does that mean that I can't never play on that account since the email address is being used by another? You see, at first, I didn't remember which email address I had used until I checked and by then it was too late. I had already registered that email with another account.

Now I need some advice on what to do. I'm not sure what I should do to fix this issue. It kinda sounds like I need to reset my account or both of them. But resetting them, doesn't that delete everything or will any characters created still be there? It seems like I need to contact support for this, but I wanted to know first if anyone has any ideas to help me.

Unregistered

create a new or un-used email account, and re-associate one of the account's to it. When you make you're my.com account's make sure the email's do not overlap again.
